Blue Beats is my second release as Club Drippy. Recorded during a frigid and dark winter, tucked away in my Chicago basement apartment, I created these sounds as a fantasy of warmer memories- moments at the beach, the sun on my skin, experiencing all forms of warmth and what that feeling means to me. I couldn't handle my reality of ice and darkness, so I escaped via the creation of these tracks.

This is also my first experiment with an all-hardware based recording setup. The tracks are all improvised; I would mute and unmute parts based solely on my intuition in the moment. I love improvising, as it forces me outside of my thinking brain and into my sense of feeling. The tracks are mixed with an analog mixer and FX as well.
